Located in the Gaslight District in downtown Cambridge, Ontario—a landmark and thriving creative hub—the FORUM at Fabrik Architects is an exhibition and event space dedicated to showcasing and nurturing the creativity of our community.
The exhibitions and installations in this open heritage space with a view of the Gaslight District courtyard, test design ideas across artistic, scientific and cultural dimensions. These visions promote a deeper understanding of the role design plays in shaping and building a stronger community.
Beyond exhibitions, the FORUM is a versatile venue for workshops, lectures, Off-site meetings and social gatherings—fostering dynamic exchange and collaboration. This flexibility allows the space to become an active stage for learning, dialogue, and celebration across disciplines and communities.
The FORUM also serves as a vital connector between the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture and the broader public, bridging academia, professional practice, government, and residents. Through these intersections, it cultivates a diverse network of local collaborators, scholars, designers, and community members working together to imagine new possibilities for civic life and for building a more connected and resilient community.
